What is Marma Therapy?

For thousands of years, Ayurvedic practitioners have used Marma points to stimulate the natural self-healing potential of the physical body.

These specific anatomical points, found at certain junction areas in the body, are believed to be the basis of later acupuncture and massage therapy practices that now span many cultures across the globe.

By gently directing our attention and touch toward these vital energy points, we can use this physical map to support radical healing on an alchemical, biological level within our own bodies, as well as those of our clients, patients, and community.

Session 3 (final session) – Focus: Case Studies and Pathology

In this final instalment of our marma immersions, Vasant Lad and Sneha Raichada will look at particular case studies and pathologies – how they present in our body, or the body of our patient/client, and how marma point therapy can be employed to help alleviate these ailments and improve health in certain organs and tissues.

This immersion will also provide an understanding of how Marma therapy can address certain pathologies and recurring issues within the physical body.

While practicing as an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Sneha combines her early experience as a Physical Therapist with extensive classroom and clinical study under Vasant Lad

VRINDA DEVANI
Vrinda’s dedication to empowering women towards vibrant health and living shines through in her practice as a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, and as an Ayurvedic Practitioner. After studying under Vasant Lad, Vrinda followed this passion to Nepal, where she studied Ayurvedic women’s health with Dr. Sarita Shrestha. Vrinda believes in unfolding the human body’s potential through a blend of complementary Ayurvedic and allopathic medicine, and so her approach to healing is always extraordinarily well-rounded and compassionate.
