I read it over and over and over again…

But it didn’t make sense…

On the surface level, the owner was simply following A.I.D.A.

A.I.D.A. was nothing new to me…

And it’s probably nothing new to you either.

Every copywriter knows this formula.

There had to be more.

To find the real answer, I had to see the bigger picture…

So the next day, I decided to look at dozens of the best performing emails Tanner had written…

So I could write in the “same way” as him.

And sure enough, I started to see a pattern amongst the biggest earning emails.

The pattern seemed too easy at first…

But it followed, and went even deeper, than A.I.D.A.

I felt like this was what my boss was talking about, but couldn’t quite explain.

It kinda felt that cliche moment in a movie when everything seems to click for the main character.

I now had an idea of what this formula was…

(A formula I ended up calling the “P.W.A.T. formula”.)

But I needed to see if it actually worked to our list.

So I wrote my very next email following this simple formula, and Tanner and I were floored by the results…

The email crushed.

It did roughly $20k (which means almost $20 in profit for every thousand subscribers)…

Which is BIG for a high churn, mass-market email list…

And was near DOUBLE the average email we would send out.

And while just about any business owner or copywriter would be ecstatic with these results…

We were just getting started. Because…

Next we ran this email through a proven 4-step testing system…
